These are Vampire Tours, which take place throughout the year, except for Halloween Season, Private Tours, which depart on customer request and Halloween Tours Transylvania which can include one, two, or even three fun Halloween Parties in Transylvania!
When are the Vampire and Halloween Tours Transylvania departing?
Before you book any tour, you need to know when it departs so you can plan your schedule accordingly. If you can’t reach our Vampire and Halloween Tours Transylvania with set departure dates, choose a private tour and depart on a date of your choice.
For the complete Transylvanian experience, we recommend our 7-days itineraries. The Vampire Tours include our famous Ritual of Killing of the Living Dead and depart in the summer, between May and October.
Meanwhile, the 7-Days Halloween Tour departs at the end of October, around this holiday. Please consult or detailed Departures Calendar for more information.
Short Breaks and Private Tours
If you don’t have the time or budget for a 7-days tour, or if you’d rather skip some highlights and focus mostly on the Halloween Parties, choose a Short Break. We organize 3-Days Vampire or Halloween Tours Transylvania, which include the main highlights from the 7-days experience.
Summer editions of our short breaks depart on request, while the Halloween editions depart around the famous holiday from Cluj-Napoca or Bucharest and includes two fun parties!
If you have an unpredictable schedule, choose a private tour and depart on a date which suits you best. Book your experience and then contact us and let us know when you want to start the itinerary.
Tailor made tours also depart with smaller groups, including your friends or family only. A private tour takes place for a minimum of 4 people.

For the complete experience, choose our 7-Days tours! If you want to complement your itinerary with up to three amazing parties, choose our 7-Days Halloween Tour.
Interested in shorter Vampire or Halloween tours? Choose a 3-days tour which includes the essential highlights! These are perfect if your schedule doesn’t allow you to travel for too long or if your budget is limited.
The Vampire Short Break departs on request and includes our Ritual of Killing of the Living Dead, while the Halloween edition allows you to attend 2 parties: one in Sighisoara Citadel and one at Bran Castle.
We also organize 1 or 2 days Halloween tours Transylvania. We designed these itineraries to include at least one Halloween Party. The 1-day tour usually includes the party ticket only (though we recommend checking out each tour to find out specifics), while 2-days tours also include accommodation and meals.

- At the moment of booking we require an advance deposit in the amount of Euro 145/person. Once the advance deposit is registered with our accounts we issue a Confirmation Letter.
- The final payment is due 60 days prior to tour departure. Should the booking be made within 60 days prior to tour departure, entire tour cost is requested at the time of booking.

Advice for Australians traveling abroad
According with Australian government the following advice are to be followed:
Before you go
- Confirm your passport is valid for 6 months from when you think your trip will end. Don’t get stranded.
- Get comprehensive travel insurance to cover you and your gear. Get insurance that’s right for you and covers your activities in the places you’ll go. Remember, regardless of how healthy and fit you are, if you can’t afford travel insurance, you can’t afford to travel.
- Consider your physical and mental health. Get advice from your doctor if you’re unsure.
- See your doctor or travel clinic 8 weeks before you go for a basic health check
- Check if your medication is legal and available in the places you’re going. Take enough of your prescribed medicines to last the whole trip. Carry copies of your prescription and a letter from your doctor.
- Tell your bank you’re travelling and check if your cards will work. Have several payment options.
- If you’ll drive overseas check out the local traffic laws and practices. You’re likely to need an International Driving Permit (IDP) as well as your Australian driver’s licence.
- Share your itinerary with friends or family members. Give them copies of your passport
Travel insurance
Holidays don’t always go as planned. If you’re going overseas, travel insurance is as important as a passport. Without it, you or your family could suffer financially if things go wrong. No matter who you are, where you’re going and what you’re doing, get insurance.
Travel insurance is especially important if you need medical assistance. Healthcare overseas can be very expensive. Most countries won’t give you free care, or subsidise the cost of your care. You, or your insurer, must usually pay full price.
Travel Advice for Australians visiting Romania
Safety
Keep your personal belongings close. Lock hotel and train compartment doors from the inside.
Drink spiking is an issue, especially in Bucharest’s Old Town. Don’t accept food, drinks, gum or cigarettes from people you’ve just met.
Dating and marriage scams occur.
Only use ATMs in banks, shops and shopping centres, especially at night. Always keep your credit card in sight. Be wary of people you’ve met online.
Local laws
Penalties for drug offences are severe. They can include jail sentences of up to 20 years.
By law, you must always carry photo ID. Keep your passport in a safe place. Carry a photocopy.
It’s illegal to take photos of airports, military sites or other secure locations.
It’s illegal to engage in sex work or have sexual relations with a person under 18.
Same-sex relationships are legal in Romania, but not widely accepted.
